On June 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the first ROCKBROS flagship store in the southern hemisphere officially opened its doors – in Melbourne, Australia.
With this opening, ROCKBROS is bringing not only its products but also its philosophy and passion for cycling to Down Under.
The founder of ROCKBROS, Mr. Zhang Xingang, describes the motivation behind it all in one sentence: “It all started with a passion.”
Even during his college days, Zhang was an avid cyclist. He explored the surroundings of Hangzhou on two wheels with fellow students. After graduating in 2003, he decided to follow his passion and found a cycling accessories company in 2005 – to this day, this passion remains at the core of his work.
What once began as a small retailer of bicycle accessories has developed over two decades into an international brand that accompanies cyclists on their tours in over 100 countries.
ROCKBROS has the love of cycling inscribed in its DNA.
While many brands chase quick success and trends, ROCKBROS focuses on continuous product development, attention to detail and sustainable growth.

First stop in the southern hemisphere: Melbourne
The new store is located at 440 Station Street, Box Hill, VIC – right in the heart of a city that Lonely Planet has named one of the “most bike-friendly cities in the world.”
Melbourne offers ideal infrastructure for cyclists: from shady avenues to spectacular coastal routes to perfectly maintained roads with clear signage. Added to that are numerous cafés that make every ride a little adventure – cycling here isn't just a sport, it's a lifestyle.
More than just a shop – a meeting place for the community
"Our goal is to be more than just a shop," says Nick, the manager of ROCKBROS' Australian branch. "Here you'll find not only lightweight road bikes for your morning ride, but also bikepacking gear for extended tours. And through group rides, we connect with the local community."
Following the opening of our first international store in Himeji, Japan, Melbourne marks the second important stop on ROCKBROS' journey to global presence.
And it continues: The store in Heidelberg (Germany) will open at the beginning of July, followed by another one in the USA at the end of July.
